After the eventful and highly successful tour of Australia, India is playing against South africa in their own soil. After beating the so called "best team" in the world, Indian players are highly confident, looking all ready to go for it. Team selection is over, and the batting line up looks the best in the world. To much of my disappointment, Gautham gambhir was dropped out of the side, to give Wasim jaffer "another chance". Yuvraj singh is very inconsistent, still he is in the team, selectors still hoping he may click. I am very happy to see Virender sehwag back in the team. So it is going to be Sehwag and Wasim opening the batting, and Dravid will come in as third batsman. Then it is Sachin, Laxman, and Ganguly. Dhoni makes the lower middle order strongest in the world, with some handy shots from Harbhajan. I am hoping India will win the toss and choose to bat, and first innings declaration with 600 runs. Bowling line up is not as good as it was for the ODIs, Ishant sharma is injured, Praveen kumar is rested. Sreesanth and Irfan pathan are out of form. Where as for South Africa, the pacers are going to take charge of the attack. As the Indian conditions always favoured spin bowling, let us hope that skipper Kumble and the king Singh will do the job for us. If it is decided to play with 3 spinners, Murali Karthik is going to be the third spinner of choice, I truly hope he is economical, if no wicket taker. I put my money on India, fingers crossed, we will be able to keep our momentum of winning.
Mera Bharath Mahan !
