I was watching this tamil movie called “MOZHI” I have seen this movie many times before. It is a first class movie, a wonderful film, with a best story and it is very well directed. Mozhi is different from a typical tamil film, and its success proves that the audience are grown to a higher level in their taste.
The story is about a deaf and dumb girl, acted by Jothika. Though she is physically challenged, she is brave, positive, independent and does not want any sympathy from anyone. This is what makes the movie different because usually in our movies the physically challenged people are sad, tearjerkers. I was a little disappointed by Jothika’s not-up-to-the mark performance, but the movie in whole was a very refreshing experience. Also, this film proved that Prithviraj can act!! ;-).
This film also had Prakash raj’s hilarious comedy scenes. He is so natural, serious and spontaneous in his funny scenes. The supporting actors also have done their work superbly, making it a total team work. The editing could have been a bit more sharp, but even though the film is about a very sensitive and serious issue, it has been presented in a beautiful, interesting way and the movie moves fast in pace. The songs are super hit and they are picturised in India and exotic Mauritius. For me the movie’s best part was dialogues, which were very well crafted. It was Jothika’s last movie, as she retired from films.
I recommend this film to all my friends and readers, it is well worth your money
